Part2.6A

In the play Twelve Angry Men the one individual who is determined is Juror 8. He does not argue that the man is innocent but says that he cannot condemn a man to death without discussing the case first. Juror 8 is determined to solve the case, unlike any of the other jurors in the play. He comes up with an elaborate way to solve the mystery by timing the death of the victim to prove the old man and the women across the street's guilt; however, by doing this he sways the other jurors opinions to not guilty. with a little determination, you can achieve many things.

  1. I like the way that you pointed out the fact that juror eight didn't argue that the defendant was innocent. Instead, he discussed each of the facts and the testimonies that the witnesses had given. Sometimes in life, discussing the facts and working through things can lead to the correct answer. In some cases, all it takes is for one person to stand up for the right thing and then others will follow.

  2. I really like that you said juror eight did not argue that the man was guilty but he just wanted to discuss what had happened in the murder better and just talk about why the think he is guilty. I believe that when juror eight first voted for guilty he didn't mean it, he just wanted everyone to talk more about the trial so he could better understand what happened. He definantly was the change in the outcome of the trial because he managed to change everyone's votes to not guilty in a matter of just being an outcast to prove a point. All of this helps us realize that if you have one person who is willing to do the right thing many others will follow.
