2A-Allison Paules

I believe getting to the bottom of something takes lots of time, effort and patience. In order to find out something you have to look at what all happened or you won't know the whole story of it. For example in the Twelve Angry Men it toke them a while to finally decide if the boy was guilty or not. If they wouldn't have token a lot of time and effort in the case they would have probably still thought he was guilty. By them getting the bottom of it they looked at all the clues or what happened like the knife, the women's glasses, how it would have been hard to see through the el train, and figuring out how long it would actually take the old men to get out of his bed and see the boy stab his father. By  them taking all this time for this case even though they were tired of it and ready to leave they were able to prove the boy not guilty.

  1. I totally agree with you that getting to the bottom of things does take a lot of time, effort, and patience. I also agree that the jurors spent a lot of time and patience on the boys trial, and that their extra time saved the boys life. But I think that most of the jurors were stubborn and prideful. If the jurors could have swallowed the pride and actually listened to one another than the trial could have gone much faster.

  2. i also agree with this, in that the jurors once debating with juror 8, realized that maybe there was more to the story not just it was a messed kid who got mad at his dad.
