Reason and assertiveness can both be powerful tactics, depending on the situation is really represented in the play. Whenever juror 8 used reason on discussing the evidence which was a right time, but whenever juror 3 used aggressive assertiveness against juror 3 it was at the wrong situation and actually hurt his point he was trying to make.

    Agreed. If you use aggression to get your point across it may work against you because you might intimidate the person you're trying to persuade. However if you use reason the person you are trying to persuade will side with you most likely.

    I agree that using reason and assertiveness are powerful tactics. The key is to find the balance between both, to much assertiveness can be bad and to little your point wont get across.
