A4

Its important to be open to other peoples propositions even when you don't agree at all. In "Twelve Angry Men" Juror 3 was the last to say not guilty even though he didn't want to because of his disregard for the other jurors opinions. This demonstrates that people can be stubborn and only think negative of others perspectives. If a person is willing to be cooperative they need to be Open minded to the voice of others.

  1. Good post!
I do agree with the fact that people need to be able to open their minds to other peoples opinions. But I also believe that to build a strong argument you should stand your ground until you are absolutely convinced unlike juror three did in the play. Great post though!

  2. Yes, I agree that one must be open to all perspectives. I feel that if one is not open minded, that he or she will just be negative and only think of themselves. Who knows by being open minded one might learn something new. It is best to cooperate with one another and to interact with different ideas than to be stubborn and think negatively.

  3. Very true! Being a close minded person isn't very helpful when working with a group, like the jury. Juror Three wasn't open to opinions that weren't like his own and didn't want to listen to reason, which made the other jurors not want to agree with him. Juror Eight, however, was open minded and even tempered, which helped him convince the rest of the jury.
