Pt.1: 2B - Sophie Astro

Certain situations can be easily solved while others will need time and effort to find the answer. When dealing with a more complicated issue, it is important to understand and elaborate what is really going on. It is also important to make sure that whatever is needing to be solved, there is a good reason for it. Therefore, by breaking the situation down and really thinking about it will help conclude the issue.

  1. Hello Sophie,

Nice post - I absolutely agree that getting to the bottom of a complex issue takes time and effort. Not only is it important to break down and think deeply about the details of a complicated situation, but it is equally important to know who is effected by the issue, and how the issue can be resolved.

First, everyone’s opinion about what a ‘complex issue’ is, can vary, but my example of how getting to the bottom and resolving one in a real-life situation, would be a married couple getting a divorce. This issue often entails many legal documents in order to finalize a divorce. Also, if the married couple has children, court systems have to go into greater detail about which parent might have custody of the children, and which parent will pay the other child support. In this scenario it is complicated because the people often effected are the children. Some parents may have difficulties setting their differences aside to resolve the issue, and that is when it would take time and effort to get to the bottom of the problem.

    Again, nice post!

  2. I completely agree that solving a difficult problem will take time and effort. An idea to solve the difficult issue will never come instantaneously, it will take revising and deep thought to get to the bottom of it. To add onto breaking it down into steps, figure out which ones are needed the most and which ones aren't really necessary. I also agree that people need to communicate and elaborate on what their saying to completely fix the problem.
