Prejudice is incorporated in 12 angry men because they play is set around the 1950's when people were still shaky about blacks and whites. And there are still some people who believe that they should be segregated. In the play, some of the jurors refer to the boy and his family as "them" like they aren't human or part of society. I think that those beliefs will affect how they decide whether he's guilty or not.

  1. I think because there is no black people in there room is why there is no influence on the way that they think about the kid and his family. And they are harsher on him because they don't have to worry about hurting anyone's feeling in that room.

  2. I do agree that in the 1950's people still had prejudiced opinions and such. But, I disagree that this had much to do with the play. Racism didn't play a big part in this play, or any really, it was mostly based on the area in witch the defendant lived, and his record.
