Prejudice gets in the way of the truth. In the play Twelve Angry Men this is theme plays a huge role in why the jurors think he is guilty or not. At first, the jurors who grew up more privileged believe he is guilty, because of his back round of knife fights and reform school. The jurors who also grew up in the slums believe that there could be reasonable doubt, because they have been there themselves and believe that the boy might have changed. The jurors may not have been trying to think that way, but prejudice ways of thinking tend to creep into what we believe and change the way we think.

I agree, prejudice thoughts abstructed judgement of the boy and his morals. The time period related back to the time where there were still prejudice people with prejudice thoughts, it's a sensitive time where a lot of people weren't okay with the changes so it could have something to do with their decision
